What we do
Musicians for Climate (MFC) is an initiative to focus attention on environmentalist music, and its makers.
The idea came about when we realized the lack of a strong environmentalist message in today’s mainstream music. Those who do speak out are not receiving the attention they deserve.
We believe that environmentally engaged music is crucial for building climate awareness. Music can inspire, inform, motivate, and reach people on an emotional level, beyond numbers and graphs.
That's why we bring green music to the forefront. In addition, we inspire musicians to speak out on the most important issue of our time.
Here are some things you can do, and ways in which we can help you.
- Provide space for environmental music at your event.
- Contact us. We help you find the right people for the performance.
- Use your music to raise climate awareness among your fans.
- Join our network.
- Contact us. We’d love to share your music, project or event with our audience.
“Until a movement is marked by the joyous, defiant singing of revolutionary songs, it is the dogma of a few, and not the faith of the multitude.”
— James Connolly, 1907
